Sing Street

Sing Street (2016) is a musical comedy drama directed by John Carney and starring Ferdia Walsh-Peelo and Lucy Boynton. When the financial crisis of the 1980s hits the Lawlor family, Robert Lawlor decides to take his youngest son Conor out of a prestigious private school and move him to a Christian Brothers school. The teenager feels uncomfortable in the new environment, where he experiences rude behavior and incivility. But things seem to be getting better when Conor falls in love with a beautiful girl named Raphina and forms a rock band to impress her.
